On the morning of September 3, 2022, the "World Frontier Science and Technology Conference" jointly hosted by the China Association for the Promotion of International Science and Technology and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) was held at the National Convention Center in Beijing.
As an important component of the 2022 International Fair for Trade in Services, the World Conference on Frontier Science and Technology is committed to providing a platform for scientists in cutting-edge science and technology fields from various countries to exchange, interact, and share achievements, which also opens a window for entrepreneurs and people around the world to understand the world's cutting-edge science and technology developments and master the latest scientific and technological information, and also provides solutions for countries deeply affected by the COVID-19 epidemic and climate change, so that cutting-edge science and technology can empower the development and progress of the world economy and human civilization, help achieve the UN 2030 sustainable development goals, and build a community of shared future for mankind.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Duan Miyi, President of the China Association for the Promotion of International Science and Technology and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the World Frontier Science and Technology Conference, gave great support to the conference. He stressed that the China Association for the Promotion of International Science and Technology, adhering to the purpose of "industrialization of science and technology, and industrialization of science and technology", has always been committed to promoting scientific and technological innovation, achievements transformation, and international scientific and technological exchanges. The purpose of co hosting the World Frontier Science and Technology Conference with UNIDO is to provide a platform for scientists, industrialists, and investors in all frontier fields around the world to collide ideas, exchange information, and exchange what they need, especially to provide solutions for the world economy deeply trapped in the COVID-19 and climate change, and help the global economic recovery.
Ma Peihua, Vice Chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former Executive Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Democratic Party of China, congratulated and delivered a speech at the meeting. He said that in the context of a century long upheaval and the interweaving of the century long pandemic, as well as the severe challenges facing the world economic recovery, technological innovation and development are effective ways and methods for countries to jointly explore and solve major global problems. In terms of cutting-edge scientific and technological innovation, countries should strengthen international scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation, and jointly respond to the challenges of the times.
At this conference, the organizing committee of the "World Frontier Science and Technology Conference" and the Nanyang Academy of Sciences in Singapore signed an "International Science and Technology Academic Exchange and Cooperation" agreement, aiming to jointly publish academic journals on the forefront of science and technology. Mr. RAYMAN MOK YEOW FAY, Chairman of the Nanyang Academy of Sciences in Singapore and President of Century Publishing (S) Pte. Ltd., Singapore, has a deep connection with China and has close cooperation with the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology in the field of technological innovation. He hopes to use this cooperation to launch a new publication, better promote the development and progress of cutting-edge technology in the world, and promote international scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation.
